Zaheer Iqbal marked his 36th birthday with an intimate celebration hosted by his wife, actress Sonakshi Sinha, on Tuesday. The cozy gathering included Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, as well as Bollywood legend Rekha.
In a video shared by Zaheer’s sister, Sanam Ratansi, the birthday boy was seen cutting his cake while surrounded by loved ones. He fed the cake to Sonakshi and his father, Iqbal Ratansi, followed by Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha, creating a touching family moment.
Sonakshi kept her look chic yet understated, donning a pastel pink embroidered kurta paired with a denim jacket, while Zaheer sported a casual outfit with a white t-shirt, olive green pants, and a black hoodie.
The couple, who tied the knot in June 2024, also celebrated the occasion on social media. Sonakshi shared a series of endearing photos of the two, including a snap of her kissing Zaheer on the cheek and another of them smiling together. Her heartfelt caption read, “After your mom, I’m the happiest you were born! Even happier that I married you 😂😘 Happy Birthday best boy – I love you.”

Zaheer and Sonakshi’s love story began seven years ago, with their bond strengthening over time. Zaheer, the son of businessman Iqbal Ratansi, debuted in Bollywood with Notebook, produced by Salman Khan, while Sonakshi was his co-star in Double XL. The couple married on June 23, 2024, commemorating the anniversary of their first meeting. Their wedding festivities included a grand reception at Mumbai’s Bastian restaurant.
Their Instagram post on their wedding day beautifully captured their journey, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017), in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it.”
The birthday celebration was yet another reminder of the couple’s strong bond and the love they share with their close-knit family and friends.
