Post the success of the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has been considered the biggest pan-India star, with films like Adipurush, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, and Kalki 2898 AD setting box office records. However, Allu Arjun has now emerged as a formidable contender for the top spot, thanks to the unprecedented success of his latest release, Pushpa 2 – The Rule.

Since its release, Pushpa 2 – The Rule has taken the box office by storm, smashing records and securing its place as the biggest hit of the year by overtaking Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, which had collected nearly Rs 600 crore. But Pushpa 2 didn’t stop there—it has now gone on to become the third biggest hit in Indian cinema, surpassing Ram Charan, NTR Jr., and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
By the end of its 10th day in theaters, Pushpa 2 had minted an impressive Rs 824.5 crore, overtaking Ram Charan, NTR Jr and SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which had a lifetime collection of Rs 782 crore. This massive achievement marks a significant milestone for Allu Arjun, solidifying his position as one of India’s biggest superstars.
Pushpa 2’s box office journey has been nothing short of spectacular, by the end of its first week, the film had collected Rs 725 crore: highest for any film in the country. Of the total amount, the film had collected Rs 425 crore, that came from the Hindi version.The Hindi rights for the film were picked up by Anil Thadani for Rs 200 crore. On the 9th day, the film had collected only Rs 36.4 crore, but on 10th day, the film’s collection jumped to Rs 62.3 crore.
With this historic accomplishment, Pushpa 2 is now gearing up to challenge the top two positions held by Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. The makers have also announced the third installment in the franchise, titled Pushpa 3 – The Rampage, promising even bigger action and drama in the years to come.
