Pushpa 2 inches toward Rs 1000 Crore mark in India

Allu Arjun aka Pushpa Raj and Rashmika Mandanna aka Srivali maintain a strong grip at the box office. Their movie ‘Pushap 2,’ released on December 5, 2024, has maintained a steady pace at the box office. Though there have been minimal drops in the weekday businesses, on its second Tuesday the movie crossed the Rs 950 crore mark in India and is now heading closer to joining the Rs 1000 crore club.
At the speed and with these numbers the movie has been shattering records left, right, and center. On Day 1 it made a whopping business of Rs.164.25 crore across all languages, (in Telegu it collected Rs. 80.3 Cr, Hindi Rs. 70.3 Cr, Tamil Rs. 7.7 Cr; Kannada Rs 1 Cr and Malayalam Rs. 4.95 Cr.) Thus, from the beginning, the movie collection showed positive signs. By the end of the first week, the action thriller had already crossed Rs 700 crore. The Sukumar directorial entered the second week with strong numbers and is maintaining its hold. With the business of Rs 24.25 Cr on its second Tuesday, i.e. day 13, the total has reached Rs 953.3 Cr in all languages.

Further, after a successful run at the box office, the movie is expected to be released on OTT in February 2025. Directed by Sukumar and headlined by Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, Pushp 2’s rights for OTT release have been acquired by Netflix.
