The ‘It Ends With Us’ stars – Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively are in the headlines currently, but not for any movie promotion; they are in the news owing to legal woes. Reports have come out that Blake Lively has put multiple allegations against actor-director Justin Baldoni on the grounds of sexual harassment on the sets of the film. Amid these shocking claims, talent agency WME which handles both Justin and Blake has dropped Baldoni.
According to Deadline, the talent agency decided to drop Justin after Blake went public with her allegations against him. However, the agency hasn’t released any statement reacting to the news or on the sexual harassment case.
Coming to the lawsuit filed by Blake against Justin,’ it has claims stating Baldoni attempted to launch a smear campaign against Lively, which led to emotional distress for her and her family. The legal team representing Baldoni has denied the accusations. His representatives have described the claims as “categorically false.”
Further, according to documents obtained by TMZ, Blake was vocal about the distress and the issues she faced from the beginning. A meeting was held during the film’s production to her grievances and it even included her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds.
Several demands have been outlined in the lawsuit like prohibitions against showing nude images or videos of women to Lively, discussing Baldoni’s alleged past pornography addiction. It also includes commenting on Lively’s weight, mentioning her deceased father, making remarks about sexual exploits, and referencing team members’ genitalia.
Blake Lively’s lawsuit includes a demand that states any changes to intimate or sexual scenes require her prior approval. Reports state that Sony Pictures who are the distributor of the movie endorsed the terms.
Meanwhile, in a statement to Variety, Justin’s team has reacted to the accusations. They said, “It is shameful that Ms Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives, as yet another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activities that were observed publicly, in real time and unedited, which allowed for the internet to generate their own views and opinions.”
