In a recent interview with India Today, Jr NTR shared his thoughts on audience behavior, stating that people have become increasingly negative and critical. He expressed concern that this shift has made it difficult for viewers to enjoy films in a more innocent and carefree manner, highlighting a change in how films are perceived today.
Jr NTR reflected on how his sons watch movies without concern for the actors or titles, simply enjoying the experience. He questioned why adults have lost that innocence, noting that modern audiences tend to overanalyze and judge films rather than just enjoy them. He suggested that increased exposure to cinema might have contributed to this change in perspective.
Jr NTR suggested that the current trend of negative audience perceptions might eventually correct itself, leading to a return to a more balanced viewing experience. He noted that while Kalki’s earnings of Rs 52.6 crore and Rs 12.2 crore on its second Sunday and Monday were impressive, Devara’s collection for those days was much lower at Rs 12.65 crore. This highlights the film’s struggle to match its competitors at the box office.
