Karan's cryptic post for 'fools' after Divya's dig

Karan Johar shares a cryptic post for the 'fools' after Divya Khossla Kumar took a dig at Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra'

On Saturday evening Divya Khossla made quite a noise when she shared an Instagram story accusing Alia Bhatt of manipulating box office numbers of her latest release ‘Jigar.’ After that, the movie’s producer and Alia’s mentor, the man who launched her in Bollywood, Karan Johar took to his social media handle to share a cryptic post. With his words, he attempted to silence the ‘fools.’ And the story doesn’t end here; after Karan Johar’s post, Divya Khossla again took to her social media handle to share her piece.
Here’s everything in chronological order:
First, Divya Khossla shared a post that read – “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra.”
Later, Karan Johar posted a quote on his story that said – “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.” It is noteworthy that he didn’t take a direct jab at anyone.
Last but not least, Divya on her handle shared, “Truth will always offend fools opposed to it.” This quote was followed by one more IG story that said – “When you are so accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice, no spine.”
Netizens’ reaction
This Bollywood feud has picked netizens’ interest. One of the Reddit users wrote – “Bollywood e lafda i repeat bollywood e lafda is happening,” “Both sides are powerful, so no one can do the victim Rona dhona. This is glorious drama,” commented another.
One of the netizens even appreciated the direct word war and said, “This lafda is such a breath of fresh air. No passive aggression, no mincing words and sly jabs. Khullam khulla takrar.”
‘Jigra’
Starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead, ‘Jigra’ is an action-packed tale where a sister goes to every length possible to save her brother. When the movie’s trailer came out, it received a lot of praise; however, this Vasan Bala directorial so far hasn’t been able to maintain a grip over the box office.
