BLINKs waiting months on end for BLACKPINK star LISA’s appearance in ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3, finally got a glimpse of her in a new teaser released on HBO MAX.
In the new clip that debuted on Monday, fans of the K-Pop superstar, got to see her in action as she made her acting debut in the third part of the critically acclaimed series that will be set in Thailand.
The singer, who will be credited by her full name – Lalisa Manobal, will reportedly play the character Mook, the presumed manager of the White Lotus Resort. Set to premiere on MAX in 2025, the new season is set in a luxurious tropical resort in Thailand.
In the trailer, LISA appears in a classic beige uniform, warmly welcoming guests with a smile and saying, “Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand, Ka.” The scene has already sent BLINKs into a tizzy, as they wait in anticipation to watch her on-screen.
If the star is indeed playing the manager of the resort, she may just have a major role to play in the new season, much like Murray Bartlett and Sabrina Impacciatore in Seasons 1 and 2.
Filming for Season 3 reportedly took place in Bangkok and also the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui. In an interview with Elle, the singer said that one of the best parts of the shooting experience was “to be back home” and “to have Thai food every day.”
The star also recalled the moment she was told she had landed the role after her audition. “I think I cried,” she told the portal and added, “I was with my friends, my mom’s friends, and my mom as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it. I’m super excited and nervous because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, ‘Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?'”
With this role, LISA becomes the third member of BLACKPINK member to make her acting debut, following her bandmates Jennie and Jisoo. While Jennie made an appearance in ‘The Idol’ in 2023, Jisoo made her latest screen appearance in the Korean drama, ‘Snowdrop’.’The White Lotus’ Season 3 features an expansive ensemble cast already includes: Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravicius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.
