Mukesh Khanna REACTS to Sonakshi Sinha's post slamming him for questioning her upbringing: 'I have a cordial relationship with Shatrughan Sinha'

Sonakshi Sinha hit back at Mukesh Khanna after he said that it was her father Shatrughan Sinha‘s fault she couldn’t answer a question on Ramayana on KBC in 2019. Now, the veteran actor has responded to Sonakshi’s message and stated that had no malicious intention.
In an interview with News18, Mukesh expressed surprise that it took Sonakshi so long to respond. He mentioned that he knew mentioning her name in connection with the Kaun Banega Crorepati incident would upset her but emphasised that he had no intention of harming her or her father, Shatrughan Sinha, with whom he shares a cordial relationship.

He further clarified that his intention was to comment on today’s generation, often referred to as “Gen Z,” who he believes are overly reliant on Google and mobile phones for information. He said he used the incident involving Sonakshi as an example to teach others, including fathers, sons, and daughters, about the importance of knowledge beyond social media and Wikipedia.

In 2019, during her appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 11, Sonakshi Sinha was unable to answer a question about whom Hanuman brought the Sanjeevani booti for in the Ramayana.
Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Mukesh blamed Shatrughan for not teaching his daughter about the Ramayana. Sonakshi responded on Instagram, defending her upbringing and hitting back at Mukesh for his comments.

She wrote, “Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna ji …I recently read a statement you made saying that it’s my father’s fault I did not answer a question about the Ramayana correctly on a show I attended many, many years back. Firstly let me remind you there were two women on the hot seat that day who did not know the answer to the same question, but you choose to keep taking my name, and only my name, for reasons which are quite obvious.”
Meanwhile, Sonakshi married her longtime boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, in an intimate ceremony on June 23. The wedding was attended by Bollywood celebrities like Huma Qureshi and Aditi Rao Hydari. Recently, Sonakshi celebrated Zaheer’s birthday with her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam, along with Rekha showing her support for the actor.
