Stree 2 minted about Rs 564 crore in its fifth week and begun its journey for the top spot in the history of Hindi Cinema which was previously held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan with Rs 582.31 crore.Stree’s sequel entered the sixth week on a strong note as it added 13.65 crore over the weekend but Monday onwards, the film’s collection dropped to their lowest ever. It recorded Rs 1.35 crore on Monday, while on Tuesday and Wednesday they were Rs 1.25 crore respectively and Thursday saw the film earn just Rs 1.05 crore as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 582.55 crore. With this overall total, the film has now broken the record set by ‘Jawan’. Stree 2 is the biggest Hindi film of all time and it is also the biggest hit for every actor and technician involved in the film.
Stree 2 in its journey till here has set many records like highest collection for paid preview shows on 14th August beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express. It also holds the records for highest collection in Week 2, Week 3 , Week 4 and Week 5 of Hindi Cinema.
