‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video‘, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, is on its way to the Rs 30 crore mark.
The film which has enjoyed a steady run at the box office, entered its second week with an estimated collection of Rs 1.35 crore nett across India.
The film, which has garnered positive word-of-mouth for its unique storyline and engaging performances, has been holding well since its release on October 11.Although the film clashed at the box office with Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra‘, the film has managed to take the lead after a solid first week. ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ enjoyed a decent all-India collection on its first 7 days at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 27 crore nett.
With Friday’s collections, the film’s total collection now stands at an estimated Rs 28.35 crore nett. With the film enjoying positive feedback, it is now poised to cross the Rs 30 crore mark over the weekend, a promising feat for a mid-budget film.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film opened to decent numbers and showed steady growth over its first weekend. Strong performances by Rajkummar and Triptii, along with its supporting cast of Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Tiku Talsania, and Archana Puran Singh, have reportedly played a significant role in drawing audiences to theatres.
‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ will have one more week to score big at the box office before it faces new competition from the Hollywood release ‘Venom: The Last Dance‘ starring Tom Hardy. The Marvel anti-hero film, which marks the end of the trilogy, will arrive in cinemas on October 24, a day before its global release.
The Diwali box office will see an epic face-off between the Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Singham Again’ and the Kartik Aaryan-led ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
