In a now-viral video from the couple’s wedding celebrations, Sobhita and Chay are seen taking part in the traditional “Fishing the Ring” ritual, which symbolises a light-hearted competition between the newlyweds.
The ritual involves placing a ring in a pot filled with milk or opaque water mixed with spices, and the couple must “fish” for it using their hands. The winner is said to hold the upper hand in their relationship. The clip captures the couple wriggling their hands in the pot, searching for the ring.
Chay, with a mischievous smirk, manages to find the ring first and triumphantly hands it over to the priest, while Sobhita smiles in good humour. Their playful camaraderie and electric chemistry have fans dubbing the clip as ‘the cutest’.
