They say a flat line never indicates life; life is only always depicted with a graph that shows both up and down lines. Thus, as much as one desires to have success, and all the good things in life, life will also make him witness some of the challenging times as well. Speaking on similar lines, Vivek Oberoi in his recent interview opened up about the low phase of his life, the underworld threats, and how he battled with all these things.
In his conversation on Dr Jai Madaan’s YouTube channel the actor shared, “There was a time when I entered a conflict zone in my career, and because of that, I faced a lot of financial strain. I was very stressed. I would get calls from the underworld. I would get threats. And I’d never experienced anything like this in my life. All of this happened together.”
The actor recalled that initially when the calls came in, he and his family thought someone was playing a prank on them. However, when Mumbai police confirmed otherwise, things turned scary.
“I was fine with dealing with the consequences of my actions, but I was bothered when my parents were threatened. My dad would pick up the phone and someone would threaten him; my mother would answer the phone and someone would threaten her. I was scared for my sister. Initially, we thought that they were prank calls. But later, the police confirmed that the threats were very real,” said the actor.
Though the actor didn’t reveal why he was getting such threats, he did mention that they were made “to cut him to size”.
He confessed that at the same time, he was going through a difficult phase in his relationship. Then a lot of people showed him support in their own way.
There was a time when Vivek Oberoi vanished from the face of Bollywood and concentrated more on his business. Luckily the same boomed for him and gradually he made his way back to the industry. The ‘Yuva’ star will next be seen in ‘Masti 4.’
